All of our jewelry has a base metal of recycled sterling silver, stainless-steel or brass and is plated with a thick layer of 14K gold. Each listing on our website indicates what finish and base metal the jewelry is.
We make sure to pay exceptional attention to details. Each piece is carefully looked over before it gets shipped to you. It’s important to us that you continue loving your jewelry and have it looking its best, so we’ve put together the best care tips to follow!
- Remove your jewelry while exercising, showering + swimming.
- Remove rings when washing hands or using any harsh products like hand sanitizer.
- Avoid aerosols like hair products, sunscreens, perfume, and lotions (even natural ones) on your jewelry.
- Don’t sleep with your jewelry.
You can clean your plated jewelry with a cotton ball or a very soft cloth to remove any dust and dirt. Gently rubbing the surface of your gold plated jewelry using a soft jewelry cloth, helps restore shine. Do *not* use a polishing cloth as this will strip away the plating.
To minimize scratches, store your piece in your Sister's Shine Jewelry pouch or in a separate compartment in your jewelry box.
